Adjusted by hand, or by instrument.

Two honest ways to move a joint that stopped moving, in one New Castle room, chosen for you by three chiropractors who each played the sport that hurt them. Same day appointments are available.

The practice, room by room

Four rooms at 101 Decker Dr

Nothing here is a stock interior. This is the waiting room with the fireplace, the table you get adjusted on, the table you get taught on, and the room the therapies run in.

The room you wait in

A fireplace, not a hospital corridor

Stone fireplace, wood bench, upholstered chairs. This is a locally and family owned practice, and the front room is where that shows first. Spanish speaking representatives are available at the desk.

Where the hands or the instrument decide

A manual adjustment delivers a small force directed at the angle of the joint to restore motion it has lost. On this same table, instrument style adjusting reaches the joint with speed instead of force.

What you take home with you

Relief is one thing. Knowing how to hold it is the next. Icing, heating and stretching, shown to you here so the same task stops costing you the same joint.

The room the therapies run in

Ultrasound, stim, traction, cupping

Tightness broken up with ultrasound. Spasm reached with electric stimulation. The low back gapped with mechanical axial traction. Circulation pulled through with cupping.

What we actually do

One joint, two routes to it

Which one you get depends on the joint, on your comfort, and on your age. A hand delivers force at the angle of the joint. An instrument uses speed instead, and reads the tightness before it decides where to go.

Where it hurts

Start with the joint that woke you up

Every one of these has its own page, because the low back and the wrist are not the same conversation. If you are not sure which one you are reading, call the office and describe it out loud instead.

Before you call

The questions the front desk gets most

Often yes. Same day appointments are available, and patients regularly tell us they were fitted in as first time walk ins. Call the office at (724) 656-9050 and ask for today.

Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, including Security Blue and Freedom Blue, plus Medicare, Aetna, Cigna, Coventry, UnitedHealthcare and UPMC. We also accept Visa Electron. If you do not see your provider listed, please call us.

No. There are two ways to be adjusted here. Manual adjusting delivers a small force at the angle of the joint. Instrument style adjusting uses speed rather than force, with gentle vibration and tapping, and the instrument reads the tightness of the joint to show exactly where to adjust. Which one you get depends on your joint, your comfort and your age.

In season student athletes are seen for $30, which includes the adjustment and any therapies needed. Students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on the first visit.

There are three: Dr. Mitchell Mahle, who founded the practice in 2000, Dr. Kelsey Bowser and Dr. Christopher Argiro. All three played sports and worked through injuries of their own.

You can speed up the intake by filling out the paperwork in advance. Ask the front desk for the New Patient Form, or the Auto Accident Form if you are being treated for an injury from a car accident.
